As I just completed my first year at my new job, I wanted to take the time to reflect and share my experience working with Cameron from RezzyCheck.

There is always that one person who helps you get out of a toxic situation, and for me, that person is Cameron. Almost two years before I transitioned into my new role, I started my job search with Cameron because I was deeply unhappy in my previous position. Working grueling hours throughout the year outside of the busy season only to be told by leadership that it was still not enough was an environment I knew I had to leave.

The job market for tax public accounting is notoriously challenging, but Cameron was up for the task and never backed down. We spent countless hours in working sessions reworking my resume and doing intensive interview prep.

During that time, I faced a wave of rejections from the roles I applied and interviewed for, which took a major toll on my morale. However, Cameron never stopped trying. We kept pushing forward and learning from what went wrong because we knew that, at the end of the day, it only takes one opportunity to say yes.
